Trainee Transport Supervisor

We are recruiting for a Trainee Transport Supervisor to work for our client based in Garretts Green. Hours - there is an element of flexibility, however the right candidate will be able to work an late morning/afternoon shift Salary £27,500 per annum This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career within the transport and logistics industry. The successful candidate will receive full training and support whilst gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of transport operations, driver management, route planning, and compliance. Key Responsibilities Assisting with the day-to-day running of the transport department Supporting driver briefings and debriefings Monitoring vehicle movements and delivery schedules Helping to ensure compliance with transport legislation and company procedures Liaising with drivers, customers, and warehouse staff Updating transport systems and records accurately Assisting with vehicle maintenance scheduling and defect reporting Providing excellent customer service and resolving operational issuesCandidate Requirements Strong communication and organisational skills Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office A willingness to learn and develop within the role Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach to work Previous experience within transport, logistics, or warehousing would be advantageous but is not essentialWhat Our Client Is Offering Full training and ongoing development Excellent career progression opportunities Supportive and friendly working environment Competitive salary Opportunity to gain valuable industry experience and qualifications If you are eager to learn, highly organised, and looking to build a career within transport and logistics, please apply for this position or if you want more information please contact the Mainstay Recruitment Team
