EYFS Teacher (Full-Time)

Supply Desk is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Slough (SL3) area to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate early years educator to join a nurturing environment and make a meaningful impact at the foundation stage of pupils’ education.
This role would suit an engaging and creative teacher with a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, who is committed to fostering a love of learning and supporting children’s early development.
The Role
As an EYFS Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting children during the most important stage of their development, helping to build strong foundations across all areas of learning.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and delivering engaging, creative, and age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
Supporting children’s development in communication and language, early literacy, numeracy, and personal, social, and emotional development
Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
Observing, assessing, and tracking children’s progress in line with EYFS standards
Supporting children of varying abilities, including those with SEN
Encouraging curiosity, independence, and confidence through play-based learning
Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues
Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Desirable
Experience within EYFS or early years settings
Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
A nurturing, creative, and engaging teaching style
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work full-time in the Slough (SL3) area from September
Desirable
Experience in Nursery or Reception classes
Knowledge of phonics programmes (e.g., Little Wandle or similar)
Experience supporting children with SEN
Knowledge of EYFS assessment and progress tracking
Understanding of safeguarding and early years best practices
