Assistant Supervisor- Distribution

A successful manufacturing business is looking for an Assistant Supervisor to join its distribution team. This Assistant Supervisor role offers a hands-on opportunity to support daily operations, help lead a team, and ensure products are prepared accurately for customer deliveries and collections. Hours are 6:00am to 2:30pm or 1:30pm to 10:00pm. Based in High Wycombe, this position offers £31,000 per annum Duties * Support the day to day running of the distribution team * Oversee the preparation of goods for delivery and collection * Carry out quality checks to ensure products are free from damage and defects * Assist with loading vehicles safely and accurately * Help investigate missing items and resolve loading issues * Ensure all orders are complete and correctly documented * Support team training and assist with maintaining high standards * Communicate with office teams regarding operational issues * Monitor health and safety procedures within the warehouse * Take responsibility for the team when required Experience * Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader position within a warehouse or distribution environment * Strong attention to detail and organisational skills * Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word * Ability to manage staff and arrange cover when required * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Reliable, flexible and able to remain calm under pressure * Hands on approach with a proactive attitude * Experience of vehicle loading, paperwork management or team supervision would be advantageous This Assistant Supervisor position is ideal for a motivated individual looking to develop their leadership skills within a busy distribution environment.
