You’ll be supported by experienced ecologists and given opportunities to lead projects, mentor others, and continue building your technical expertise. We’re seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Ecologist with around 4–5 years’ experience to join the Cambridge office. You’ll lead and deliver a broad range of ecological projects, manage survey programmes, support junior team members, and play an active role in client liaison and business development. Plan and resource ecological surveys Undertake a full range of surveys, including specialist work Produce high-quality ecological reports (including EIA and specialist assessments) Provide input to tenders, budgets, and project timelines BSc in Ecology or similar (MSc desirable) Proficient in PEA/UK Habitat Survey (including complex and rare habitats) Competent in a full range of protected species surveys Excellent report writing and data analysis skills Good GIS or equivalent mapping ability Strong knowledge of UK/EU wildlife legislation and planning policy Experience across varied sectors (e.g. quarry, road, energy, industrial) 24 days annual leave + bank holidays ~ Option to buy 5 extra days’ leave or take 5 unpaid ~ Private Healthcare ~ Life Insurance ~ Royal London Pension (5% employer contribution) ~ Drive Electric car scheme ~ Free eye tests & winter flu jab ~ Employee referral scheme ~ Long service award If you’re an experienced ecologist looking for your next challenge with a forward-thinking consultancy, get in touch today.
