Day Centre Support Worker

Due to complex user needs and a significant increase in the volume of Service Users, Randstad are keen to recruit experienced Support Workers for immediately available contracts. The successful candidates will provide assistance to users within the services of Adult Physical Disability in a day centre environment. Benefits £12.75 per hour Monday - Friday 9am-3.30pm shift 3 month contract with scope for extension Enhanced holiday package Pension Fully funded, ongoing training & development opportunities Convenient Belfast location Employee Assistance Programme Weekly pay Access to high street, retail and leisure discounts Requirements NISCC registration essential GCSE English and Maths (C or above or equivalent) NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care desirable Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting / compliance checks including an Enhanced Access NI check due to the nature of this work, this may include a Barred List check for both Children & Vulnerable Adults (depending on the role) Minimum 6-12 months previous Support Work experience essential Immunisation records fully up to date Previous experience within a day centre or residential healthcare setting highly desirable Ability to build rapport Strong interaction and engagement skills Caring and compassionate approach Ability to work in fast paced user centric environment Responsibilities Provide daily assistance to the management team within a Day Centre environment Interact and develop caring & professional relationships with all Service Users Engagement with users which may be non verbal Full involvement in the planning & execution of therapeutic activities Mobility assistance Assisting with meals, feeding and hydration Toileting & personal care if required Basic administration and reporting Randstad Care acts as an employment business when supplying temporary staff and as an employment agency when introducing candidates for permanent employment with a client.
