Salary: 48,738- 53,051 per annumGrade: MContract: PermanentHours: Full-timeLocation: Scarborough, North Yorkshire At North Yorkshire Council we are looking to recruit a Senior Business Analyst to help identify, develop, and deliver positive change across all council services.Our Senior Business Analysts take a lead on analysis, setting the direction, leading others, solving complex problems and working with a range of senior stakeholders. They also play a key role in growing and mentoring our Business Analysts and Assistant Business Analysts through line management and being a visible role model.If you enjoy leading analysis, identifying opportunities, and delivering practical solutions, and want to see your work have a positive impact and bring improvements to public services in North Yorkshire – this could be the role for you!The role is hybrid working with a combination of home working, together with minimum 2 days per week in an office base at one of our local transformation hubs at Northallerton, Harrogate, Scarborough and Selby.Within this role you will:·       Work with a wide range of stakeholders across the Council to identify opportunities for change.·       Develop and present cases for change to senior management and Council partners.·       Manage and undertake a range of analysis activities to further define opportunities, benefits and action plans.·       Use your analysis to develop options and make recommendations.·       Review the impact and success of initiatives, to assess and quantify to what extent benefits have been realised.·       Be part of a supportive and dedicated Business Analysis team who are committed to delivering positive change.·       Directly manage a small team of Business Analysts and support them throughout their development.What you can bring;·       Good understanding of business change methodologies e.g Lean, Six Sigma, Rapid Process Improvement, BPR, and human-centred design·       Demonstrable track record of leading, managing and inspiring teams delivering high levels of performance·       Ability to confidently use persuasion, influencing or negotiation techniques to influence others in difficult situations.·       Good functional understanding of key technologies (e.g. business intelligence, CRM, digital technology, data integration, cloud computing) to support transformation.Within the Transformation directorate we place people at the heart of what we do, and Business Analysts are a valuable component of this service to help make sure the change initiatives and opportunities progressed are right for North Yorkshire Council and North Yorkshire citizens.Further InformationLearn more via our Transformation Campaign Page.For further information about this vacancy or to arrange an informal conversation about this opportunity please contact Ben Potts via Ben.Potts@northyorks.gov.uk.You may see this role advertised across multiple locations, you only need to complete 1 application for the location that is most convenient for you.Recent applicants for this role are not required to reapply.
