We are proud to have a high number of experts, a culture of 'can-do' and strong links and collaboration with other bogie and Rolling Stock sites which all combined enable us to deliver solutions competitively. Derby has developed the Flexx Eco Bogie Platform with over 7,000 bogies delivered/ordered across the world with operating environment extremes from the cold climate of Norway to the hot environment of Riyadh.We’ll look to you for:Develop 3D CAD models for component parts and assemblies based on conceptual designs and preliminary specificationsCreate and review detailed part and assembly drawings in compliance with design and manufacturing standards, ensuring designs are optimised for manufacturability, serviceability, and repair feasibilityPrepare, validate, and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) data within PDM/PLM systems, ensuring accurate technical documentation, metadata management, and overall BOM integrity.Create, update, and manage engineering change documentationPerform basic technical calculations using standard engineering formulasIdentify and define standard components and semi-finished products based on technical requirements and specificationsConduct installation and design feasibility studies in line with given guidelinesPerform tolerance analysis to ensure design accuracy and functionalityCollaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders as requiredAll about youWe value passion and attitude over experience.
