Electrical Supervisor - Industrial Installations

Aureos are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical installation works across commercial and industrial projects. The successful candidate will supervise site teams, ensure compliance with UK electrical and health & safety regulations, coordinate materials and schedules, and maintain high-quality standards throughout project delivery. An Electrical Supervisor oversees electrical installation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning work to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with UK regulations and company standards. The role includes supervising electricians and subcontractors, coordinating site activities, and ensuring high-quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities Site Supervision Supervise electricians, apprentices, and subcontractors on site Allocate daily tasks and monitor productivity Ensure works are completed according to drawings, specifications, and programme deadlines Conduct toolbox talks and site briefings Health & Safety ~ Ensure compliance with: o Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 o Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 o BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) Carry out risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) Monitor safe systems of work and PPE usage Report accidents, incidents, and near misses Technical Oversight Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics Inspect electrical installations for quality and compliance Support testing and commissioning activities Identify and resolve technical issues on site Project Coordination Liaise with clients, site managers, engineers, and suppliers Order materials and manage site resources Track project progress and maintain site records Attend site meetings and provide updates Quality Assurance Ensure installations meet NICEIC and UK building regulation standards Complete inspections and snagging Maintain documentation and certification records Required Skills & Experience Essential Proven experience as an electrician or electrical supervisor Strong knowledge of UK electrical regulations and standards Ability to manage teams and coordinate workloads Good communication and leadership skills Ability to read technical drawings and specifications Strong problem-solving and organisational skills Qualifications Typically includes: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations ECS or CSCS card Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent) preferred SSSTS or SMSTS certification desirable (training available) Working Conditions Construction sites, industrial facilities, commercial buildings, or maintenance environments May involve travel between sites Occasional evening or weekend work depending on project demands In return you will receive ~ Generous Salary ~25 days Holiday plus Bank Holiday ~ Pension ~ Learning & Development opportunities ~ Assistance and Wellbeing support Equal opportunities Aureos are an equal opportunities employer, and we are determined to ensure that no applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of gender, age disability, religion, belief, sexual orientation, marital status or race, or is disadvantaged by conditions or requirements which cannot be shown to be justifiable.
