This role would also suit candidates who have previously worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver, Tramper Driver, HGV Driver, or Class 1 Trunking Driver.

Shifts Night Shifts • Monday to Friday • One in four Sundays required • Start times between 16:00 – 17:00 • Consistent ongoing work • No shift cancellations Rates of Pay • £16.43 – £21.85 per hour • Enhanced rate paid after 22:00 • Weekly Pay Benefits As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will receive: • Excellent Hourly Rates • Genuine Temp to Perm Opportunity • Ongoing Consistent Work • No Shift Cancellations • Working from a Brand-new Distribution Centre • Modern Fleet and Facilities • On-site Canteen • Free On-site Parking • Immediate Starts Available • Full Training Provided • Employee Well-being Programme • Supportive Transport Team • Long-term Career Opportunities Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to): • Completing Class 1 trunking work to regional distribution centres and customer locations • Carrying out up to a maximum of three drops per shift to known destinations • Operating Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently • Conducting pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections • Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly before transport • Adhering to all UK traffic laws and transport regulations • Communicating effectively with the transport office and site teams • Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly • Assisting with loading and unloading when required • Completing all delivery paperwork and documentation accurately Essential Skills As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need: • A valid UK Category CE Driving Licence • A minimum of 12 months' Class 1 driving experience • No more than six penalty points for minor offences • No major endorsement codes • A valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • Good spoken and written English • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping skills • A strong understanding of UK road traffic laws and drivers' hours regulations • Good communication and professional driving skills Desirable Experience • Previous Class 1 trunking or RDC delivery experience would be advantageous • Previous experience working night shifts within a transport environment Training Provided • Driver assessment required before starting • Two-week paid induction following successful assessment • Ongoing industry-related training and support provided Apply If you are an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for long-term night shift work with excellent pay rates and genuine temp-to-perm opportunities, apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch. xwzovoh
