Investment Banking Associate - Industrials M&A

The Industrials team at Jefferies is one of the most active global franchises in the sector, providing advisory and capital-raising services to leading chemical and materials companies across sub-sectors such as industrial gases, agrochemicals, coatings, and specialty & commodity chemicals. The team works on a wide range of transactions, including mergers & acquisitions (M&A), leveraged buyouts, equity offerings, and debt financings, and has established strong relationships with both strategic players and financial sponsors. We are seeking an experienced Associate to join our Chemicals Investment Banking team in London . Lead the execution of M&A and capital markets transactions, including due diligence, financial modeling, valuation, and preparation of marketing and client materials. Participate in the recruitment, mentoring, and training of junior team members. 3–5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or similar; experience in chemicals or industrials preferred. ~ Strong technical skills, including financial modeling, valuation (DCF, precedent transactions, trading comps, LBO), and transaction structuring. ~ Deep understanding of M&A and capital markets processes. ~ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with high attention to detail and tight deadlines. ~ Fluency in English required; additional European languages a plus. ~ Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier institution; MBA or professional qualification (e.g., ACA, CFA) beneficial but not required.
