We are looking for an ambitious Finance Business Partner to become a key member of our high performing Finance team, based in our Edinburgh Office.Purpose of the roleEmbed an effective finance business partner function, delivering accurate, robust in-depth analysis and management accounting information to difference stakeholders, whilst building strong relationship with all parts of the businessWhat the role will involvePrepare detailed financial analysis to support business decisions and process improvementDevelop accurate and professional monthly management account reportsPrepare detailed variance analysis against budget and forecastsProvide detailed financial and accounting reports to budget holders, partners, department heads and fee earnersSupport budget holders, partners, department heads and fee earners to obtain in depth understanding of their finances, finance policies and proceduresBuild and maintain effective working relationships with budget holders, department heads and partnersPlay a key role in financial planning, forecast and budget processes by providing detailed cost and revenue analysis and preparation of budgets and forecasts with budget holdersEnsure that budgetary control measures, accounting processes and reporting procedures are followed consistently within best practice and / or financial operating procedures.Lead the development of management information tools, reports and systems to ensure reporting requirements are met, continuously improved, and adapted as required.Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations where requiredSupport the preparation of the daily cash flow forecastDesign and document business processes and accounting policiesSupport the continuous improvement and streamlining of finance procedures, reporting and systemSupport the Financial Controller and finance team as requiredSupport the Finance Director with finance related projects and presenting reports to board members and senior executivesManage team memberWhat will be expected of you as a Finance Business PartnerDeliver robust information to deadlines in a professional and user-friendly formatDemonstrate excellent communication and knowledge transfer skillsShow highly developed organisational skillsBe recognised within Anderson Strathern as an expert in your chosen area of workHandle successfully difficult people and situationsIdentify and manage risk effectively in your workBe highly analytical and a problem solverPay attention to detailWork to strict deadlinesWork with the Finance Director to lead from the front in transformation projectsAbout youYou will be expected to demonstrate an ability to:Act as a role model to othersSupport others to achieve the firm’s objectivesWork with enthusiasm and commitment to the department, team and Anderson StrathernSuccessful applicants will be:A qualified AccountantHave at least 5 years post qualification experienceWhat you will get in returnOn-going career development and progression opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative team culture and work environmentA competitive salary and benefits packageFlexible and hybrid working arrangements to support work-life balanceAnderson Strathern is an equal opportunities employer.  Our policy is to recruit, develop, nurture and retain a diverse workforce following the guidelines of the Equality Act 2010.
