Role Type: Fixed Term Contract
Duration: 5 months
This is a mission-driven role within Northrop Grumman UK, focused on delivering a sustainable supply chain to support business needs while protecting the company’s commercial and financial interests and satisfying customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for assuring programme schedule and budget commitments through supplier management
- Work in accordance with NG policies, procedures and values, challenging and improving where needed
- Carry out RFQ/RFP/RFI (RFx) activities to support programme demand
- Understand and challenge Statements of Requirements and Statements of Work
- Issue RFx, receive, interpret and summarise responses
- Conduct negotiations and align terms with programme needs
- Schedule to needs and preferential terms and conditions
- Implement Contract agreements with appropriate customer flow-downs
- Engage business stakeholder teams to understand supply chain requirements and assure delivery of supplier performance
- Maintain ERP system and keep purchase documentation current
- Monitor performance and provide status updates and reports as requested
- Introduce Supply Chain & Procurement best practices into an engineering environment
Qualification and Skills
- Knowledge of supply chain management practice and principles
- Track record of delivering cost benefits and improvements
- Ability to deliver innovative solutions and manage collaborative relationships internally and externally
- Confidence and poise with ability to communicate with stakeholders
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and targets
- Ability to work autonomously within a defined scope to achieve objectives
Security clearance
You must be able to gain and maintain the relevant UK Government security clearance in line with the job role (SC).
