We are looking for a dedicated leader to oversee the coordination and management of domiciliary care services in Magherafelt. You will lead a care team, drive excellence and compassion in our service delivery, and promote continuous improvement and innovation in care practices.

Key qualifications

  • 3+ years\' experience in domiciliary care
  • Full, valid UK driving licence and appropriate vehicle insurance for business purposes
  • Experience leading a team
  • Experience creating rosters
  • Proactive, with the ability to use initiative to improve service for our service users
  • Creative problem solving and obstacle resolution
  • Flexible and able to work in the community to cover sickness when required
  • Positive, engaging, and able to build strong working relationships
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Committed to a health and social care career path
  • Strong planning and workload management skills

Key responsibilities and duties

  • Maintain a solid relationship with the coordinator to work on development and growth in the assigned area
  • Work towards business growth targets and KPIs
  • Be accountable for on-call telephone services in the area, Monday to Sunday, ensuring effective management
  • Direct line management of the area Care Team, including weekly workload planning, annual leave, staff sickness, supervisions, spot checks, team meetings, appraisals, and disciplinaries
  • Follow internal processes and liaise with Finance and HR teams
  • Ensure regular team and individual communication
  • Manage the 12-week induction for new starters and conduct supervision and appraisals
  • Manage and attend client reviews as required
  • Interact with Care Managers and Health Trusts as required
  • Oversee onboarding of new clients
  • Provide emergency care assistant cover as required
  • Report safeguarding or client issues to the direct Line Manager promptly
  • Communicate with the Quality and Compliance team regarding NISCC and Incident Management
  • Ensure quality of service and liaise with the Quality Monitoring Officer as required
  • Maintain care folders monthly to a high standard with up-to-date daily records
  • Support personal development of Care Team staff and address staff issues confidentially and efficiently
