Quality Engineer

Are you a strong Quality professional who wants to play a larger role? My client are one of the most prestigious companies in their field. This role will be based at their UK headquarters, a modern, state of the art manufacturing facility. This business have have a strong market share for decades, but still strive for excellence in everything that do. Currently undergoing a programme of operational excellence, they are looking to add a strong Quality engineer to the team. This role will focus in two main areas, compliance and continuous improvement. The new quality engineer will play a key role in ensuring the business is ready for important certifications. Maintain and improve the Quality management system (QMS), conduct thorough and effective internal audits. Continuous improvement in this role will about the candidates ability to effect change and bring their colleagues along on that journey. Working with the shop floor and different areas of the business in order to implement robust corrective actions. Most of all, the successful Quality engineer will be working alongside the SHEQ Manager in championing customer standards. Key responsibilities * Maintain and enhance the Quality Management System * Plan and carry out internal audits * Support external and customer audits as required * Lead and drive effective corrective action activities * Act as an internal representative for customer quality requirements * Review and analyse customer feedback to identify improvement opportunities * Undertake detailed root cause analysis investigations * Identify and deliver continuous improvement opportunities across processes, waste reduction, and product reliability Requirements * Strong knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 standards * Previous experience in a Quality role within a manufacturing or technical environment What do you get in return * Strong salary and benefits * Salary reviews yearly * Company bonus (based on individual and company performance) * Flexibility in working hours * Being part of a hungry and ambitious team
