Lead Data Scientist

About the roleThis hugely exciting opportunity will be to lead the Data Science team for a growing fintech start-up, backed by one of the biggest names in the Banking world. You will provide thought leadership; helping the teams crack complex problems on large quantities of data using your expert knowledge of Data Science techniques, statistical methods and data engineering technologies.You will put in place and execute a program of continuous learning and development, ensuring that your team is truly world-class. You will ensure that programmes of work are hypothesis led and you will convert insight from data into decisions or new ways of working. You will work with the team to ensure that they can rapidly develop models and prototypes but also then go on further and develop these into scalable solutions for the business.Key RequirementsStrong hands on experience in ML model development with extensive experience of Python, SQL, ETL pipelines, PySparkProficient understanding of cloud data solutions and principles with experience of Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data FactoryProven experience of running a Data Science teamProven experience of designing and delivering an automated decision making system at scaleSuperb commercial and financial acumenGreat stakeholder managementBe genuinely enthusiastic about Data Science and active in the community
