About the role
We are looking for experienced and compassionate Complex Care Nurses to join a dedicated 2:1 care team supporting an individual with significant complex care needs.
The individual has severe cerebral palsy, developmental delay, chronic lung disease, tracheostomy, epilepsy and a gastrostomy. They are non-verbal, nil by mouth and require full moving and handling support, including wheelchair and P-Pod chair use.
Key Responsibilities:
* Tracheostomy, airway and chest management
* Gastrostomy and medication support
* Epilepsy management
* Full moving and handling (2:1)
* Personal care and daily support
* Recognising and responding to non-verbal communication
* Following care plans and maintaining accurate records
Previous complex care experience is desirable, particularly experience with tracheostomy, PEG/gastrostomy, epilepsy and moving & handling. Full training will be provided where required.
