Health and Safety Officer Monday Friday | Full Time | £34,000 £36,000 plus a number of benefits Location North of Goole We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business.

They are now looking to appoint a Health and Safety Officer to take full responsibility for the sites Health and Safety function.
This is a genuinely influential role where youll help shape safety culture, strengthen compliance, and make a real impact across the operation.
The Role
- You will lead a proactive Health and Safety function, ensuring safe systems of work are understood, embedded, and continuously improved across the site.
Youll act as the go-to person for Health and Safety, supporting management teams, advising staff, and driving practical improvements across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clear, practical H&S guidance to senior leaders and line managers Support HR and Technical teams with safety aspects of internal and external audits Develop and implement Health & Safety plans in line with current legislation Create, review, and maintain H&S policies and procedures Conduct site inspections and drive corrective actions Ensure statutory inspections are completed (FLT, lifting equipment, fire systems, racking etc.) Lead accident and incident investigations Deliver training, inductions, and toolbox talks Promote near-miss reporting and maintain action logs Maintain COSHH data and safe operating procedures Develop emergency procedures and fire safety records Chair monthly H&S meetings and monitor KPIs What Were Looking For
- NEBOSH General Certificate (essential) Previous Health & Safety experience within a manufacturing or site-based environment Strong communication skills across all levels Practical, hands-on approach High attention to detail Ability to work independently and influence others This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established manufacturing company in a key Health and Safety role, offering stability, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a genuine difference on site.
