We’re Hiring: Environmental Advisor/Senior Advisor

Job Description Building a sustainable tomorrow \n We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Environmental Sustainability Advisor to join our Environmental Sustainability team, supporting projects within our energy sector across Scotland & the North of England. \n The purpose of the role is to drive environmental sustainability excellence across BAM Infrastructure by championing the application of company environment management systems (EMS) and best practice, particularly with regards to aspects such as low carbon construction, biodiversity, zero waste and pollution management. You will provide a point of contact and reference for advice and guidance on the application of the EMS to designated projects, and will report directly to the Environmental Sustainability Business Partner Energy Networks. Your team \n \n This role will be predominantly project-based and provide support covering sites across Scotland & North of England. \n The office base will be within our Kilsyth, Scotland, or Newcastle Office. \n Making Possible \n You will be responsible for the following: \n \n Prepare project-specific environmental documentation & records. \n Support the implementation and delivery of project level EMS and customer requirements. \n Investigate environmental incidents and advise on appropriate actions. \n Contribute to the development and delivery of internal environmental sustainability training. \n Developing relationships with stakeholders, regulators and supply chain specialists. \n Attend project progress meetings, forums & workshops, providing input, guidance, and reporting on environmental issues. \n Identifying and communicating best practice and promote continued improvement, including providing feedback on environmental performance. \n What do you bring to the role? \n Necessary: \n \n Good understanding of environmental legislation and UK regulatory framework and the ISO14001 standard. \n Technical qualification in Environmental Management with minimum 5 year of experience working in an environmental role (preferably in construction industry). \n Associate-level or above member of ISEP or similar professional body.
