Senior Communications Officer

Our local authority client based in York are urgently seeking an experienced Senior Communications Officer. Job Role Responsible for leading the planning and delivery of communications activity for a defined portfolio of work. Operating as one of a team of Communications Managers/senior comms officers, the post holder will translate organisational and communications strategies into effective delivery across campaigns, channels and stakeholders helping to support and manage more junior officers. Experience required * Proven experience delivering senior-level communications, including media handling and the development of communications plans, is essential. * Prior experience working within a government or other political environment is also essential.
