The successful candidate will be responsible for the engineering and technical delivery of multiple schemes, ensuring works are completed accurately, safely, and in accordance with project specifications.Working closely with Site Managers, Contracts Managers, and the wider operational team, you will play a key role in maintaining quality standards and programme delivery.Key Responsibilities• Carry out setting out for roads, sewers, drainage, foundations, and associated infrastructure works• Ensure all works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and site requirements• Produce accurate site surveys and as-built records• Monitor and maintain quality assurance procedures on site• Coordinate with Site Managers and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery• Identify and resolve technical issues as they arise• Maintain accurate site records and engineering documentation• Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and company standards• Assist with planning and sequencing of works to meet programme requirementsSkills & Experience Required• Proven experience as a Site Engineer within residential groundworks or civil engineering• Strong understanding of roads, drainage, foundations, and infrastructure packages• Experience using GPS and robotic total station equipment• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications• Strong communication and organisational skills• Good understanding of QA procedures and as-built documentation• CSCS Card required• Relevant Civil Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree preferred)What’s on Offer• Competitive salary depending on experience• Company vehicle or car allowance• Pension scheme and additional company benefits• Opportunity to join a successful 80m turnover contractor with a strong order book• Long-term career progression and development opportunities• Exposure to major residential infrastructure projects across Bedford.
