As investment and programme activity continue to grow, the business is seeking a Networking & Communications Specialist to take ownership of the communications architecture that connects unmanned surface and underwater platforms with operators, sensors and cloud infrastructure
.This is far more than a networking role. It offers the opportunity to shape how autonomous systems communicate in real world environments, combining systems engineering, networking expertise and hands on integration. From designing resilient communications architectures to validating performance during sea trials, this role sits at the heart of delivering mission critical capability

The Impact You Will Ha
- veOwn the end to end communications architecture across autonomous maritime platforms from design through to operational deploymen
- t.Deliver resilient, secure and high performance networking solutions spanning RF, satellite, cellular, mesh and cloud connectivit
- y.Lead the integration, testing and optimisation of communications hardware and software in laboratory and real world environment
- s.Influence future platform capability by evaluating emerging communications technologies and defining technical directio
- n.Work alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure communications remain a core enabler of mission succes

What Success Looks L
- ikeProven experience designing complex IP networking and communications architectur
- es.Comfortable configuring and troubleshooting networking hardware across both laboratory and operational environmen
- ts.Strong understanding of routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, wireless communications and Linux networki
- ng.Able to balance systems engineering discipline with a pragmatic, delivery focused minds
- et.Motivated by solving challenging technical problems and seeing engineered solutions perform in the fie
ld.
