In-House Tax Manager – Preston (3 days in the office / 2 at home) – to £63,000 + Benefits Our client is a large and highly acclaimed organisation based in Preston and we are seeking a Tax Manager to provide internal tax advice, ensuring that all strategic and operational decisions are based on clear advice and supported by robust processes and monitoring systems. Duties and responsibilities : * Develop taxation policies and strategies to mitigate risks arising from the taxation position of the Group given the organisation’s varied portfolio of activities. * Develop standard processes for tax reporting and monitoring. * Initiate support and advice on all areas of tax, commissioning external advice as necessary. * Develop written processes for tax reporting and monitoring. * Provide guidance and training to staff to ensure compliance with the statutory and regulatory requirements. * Prepare and submit all necessary VAT returns by HMRC deadlines. * Work with tax specialists on new special method * Provide guidance and training to staff to ensure compliance with the statutory and regulatory requirements under current legislation for VAT * Maintain and update the documented process for producing the quarterly VAT. * Prepare and submit all necessary CT returns and schedules by required HMRC deadlines. * Prepare the Gift Aid information and calculations Ideally you will be a fully qualified tax professional or actively studying towards qualifying. It is essential you can build and maintain positive relationships internally and externally and be able to work on your own initiative.
