Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and oversee the day-to-day delivery of the wraparound provision, ensuring a seamless transition for children between the school day and the club
  • Develop a vibrant, varied program of age-appropriate activities, balancing sports, arts, crafts, and quiet study spaces.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support a team of playworkers and assistants to maintain high standards of engagement and care.
  • Act as a key lead for safety within the setting, managing first aid, allergy protocols, and rigorous safeguarding procedures.
  • Maintain positive, professional communication with parents, school leadership, and external stakeholders.


What You Need

  • Track record in a supervisory, coordinating, or senior playworker role within a childcare, after-school, or educational setting.
  • A valid Pediatric First Aid certificate and an up-to-date Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) certificate (or a strong understanding of safeguarding frameworks).
  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Playwork, or Early Years. A Level 4+ qualification or a degree in Education/Childcare is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted requirements for out-of-school settings and a commitment to inclusive practice.
  • A valid Right to Work in the UK and an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
