Your Role:
As a Guest Service Assistant , youll be part of a dynamic team that offers seamless, anticipative and genuine service to every guest. This role is pivotal in creating first and lasting impressions, as you are often the very first and final point of contact.
You will support across two key areasas a Luggage Porter and as a Doorperson ensuring guests receive a warm welcome, thoughtful assistance, and a smooth transition throughout their arrival and departure experience.
Key Responsibilities
Greet all guests and visitors warmly on arrival and departure, offering a memorable and professional welcome.
Handle guest luggage efficiently and safely, ensuring timely delivery to and from guest rooms.
Provide valet parking services and coordinate private cars or taxis as requested.
Maintain a strong presence at the hotel entrance, assisting with opening doors, offering umbrellas, or guiding guests to Reception.
Provide accurate information about hotel facilities, local services, directions, and key attractions around Mayfair, Soho, and the West End.
Collaborate closely with Concierge, Reception, and other hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest journey.
Uphold high standards of grooming and personal presentation as an ambassador of the Hotel Café Royal brand.
Your profile
A clean, valid UK or EU driving license is essential .
Experience in a similar guest-facing role (e.g., Luggage Porter, Doorperson, Guest Services Assistant) within a luxury hotel environment is highly desirable .
Outstanding communication skills with fluency in spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
A professional, confident, and approachable demeanor with impeccable personal grooming.
Good working knowledge of Central London, especially transport links, restaurants, bars, and cultural hotspots in the surrounding areas. xwzovoh
Flexibility to work in a 24-hour operation; the role follows a 4 on / 4 off, 12-hour shift pattern, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
