About the role
We are recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business committed to operational excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth. This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical and proactive engineering professional who is passionate about driving process improvements, enhancing operational performance, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.
The successful Continuous Improvement Engineer will work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to identify opportunities for improvement, optimise manufacturing processes, and implement solutions that improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for process optimisation and operational improvement.
Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives that deliver measurable improvements in productivity, quality, and efficiency.
Conduct root cause analysis on production issues and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
Apply structured problem-solving techniques and continuous improvement methodologies to resolve operational challenges.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of improvement projects using data and performance metrics.
Promote best practice and support the development of a continuous improvement culture throughout the business.
Ensure all improvement activities are carried out in line with health, safety, and quality standards.
Produce clear technical documentation, reports, and process improvement recommendations.
Support operational teams by providing technical guidance and process engineering expertise.
Skills & Experience
Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
Previous experience in a Continuous Improvement, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operational Excellence role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of process engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
Experience leading or supporting process optimisation and continuous improvement projects.
Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques and structured problem-solving methodologies.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify improvement opportunities.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to a range of stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workloads effectively.
A proactive, logical, and methodical approach to problem solving.
