Group Head of Engineering Complex Manufacturing £100,000 - £160,000 per annum plus bonus We are partnering with a complex manufacturing business to appoint a Group Head of Engineering. This is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and delivering the engineering across a complex, multi-site operation. You will operate as a key member of the senior team, shaping how engineering contributes to long-term business success while elevating standards across people, processes, and technology. Define and lead the overall direction of engineering to support business growth, scalability, and operational resilience Align engineering priorities with wider commercial objectives, ensuring the function adds measurable value Introduce more effective, data-led approaches to maintenance, reliability, and performance monitoring Own and prioritise the capital investment agenda, ensuring projects deliver clear business benefits Lead major upgrade and transformation initiatives, including automation and site development Build and develop a high-performing engineering team, establishing clear standards, accountability, and ways of working Work cross-functionally to maintain high standards of product quality and operational integrity Develop strong, value-driven relationships with suppliers, contractors, and external partners Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, modernise systems, and reduce waste Ability to operate at a strategic level while maintaining oversight of day-to-day performance Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role within a complex manufacturing environment Experience leading investment programmes, capital projects, or business transformation initiatives Commercially aware, with the ability to balance cost, performance, and long-term value
