Junior Software Developer (Ballymena)

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a successful, locally owned business as they look to recruit a .NET Developer to join their growing technology team. This is an excellent opportunity for a developer early in their career to join a well-established organisation that continues to invest in digital transformation. Working closely with an experienced Senior Developer, you'll play a key role in developing and enhancing the company's ecommerce platform while contributing to internal systems that improve operational efficiency.

The Role

As a .NET Developer, you will:

• Develop, maintain and enhance the company's ecommerce platform.
• Support the design and development of internal business systems and applications.
• Work across the full software development lifecycle on new features and enhancements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot issues, identify improvements and implement effective resolutions.
• Provide wider support to the internal IT function where required.

What You'll Need

• Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or at least 1 year's commercial web development experience.
• Commercial experience with C#, .NET and MVC development.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript/jQuery.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software development best practices.
• Experience working with relational databases.
• Strong problem-solving ability with excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage your own workload and meet project deadlines.

Desirable

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Microsoft or web development certifications.
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks.
