Senior Legal Counsel - Financial Services - Regulatory

Reference: JN - A leading global financial services organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join its established in-house legal team as a 'go to' regulatory lawyer for the business.This is a broad and commercially focused role, providing legal and regulatory advice to senior stakeholders across a complex financial services business. The successful candidate will play a key role in advising on UK and EU regulatory matters (EMIR, MiFID II, CRD VI etc.) and supporting the business on a range of strategic and commercial initiatives, including digital assets.Skills requiredQualified lawyer in England & Wales or an equivalent jurisdiction with 4+ years' PQEStrong UK and EU financial services regulatory experienceStrong commercial contract drafting, negotiation and advisory skills would be advantageousExperience using legal technology or generative AI tools would be advantageousIn-house experience gained through a secondment or permanent role would be advantageous.This is an excellent opportunity for a regulatory lawyer to join a highly sophisticated financial services organisation and take on a broad role with significant senior stakeholder exposure and the opportunity to work across a range of evolving areas of the industry.For a confidential discussion, please apply or contact Stephanie Bruckl at
