About the role

About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to lead independent and collaborative projects investigating mechanisms of therapy resistance and lineage plasticity in prostate cancer.

Do you have the skills to fill this role Read the complete details below, and make your application today.

The successful candidate will develop and apply molecular, genomic, and functional approaches to study adaptive tumor states and identify novel therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Projects may involve: chromatin and transcriptional regulation, RNA biology and splicing regulation, lineage plasticity modeling, single-cell and spatial genomics, functional perturbation screening, therapeutic development and translational validation.

The position offers substantial opportunities for scientific independence, collaborative leadership, and the development of high-impact translational research programs.

About the Lab The Rubin Laboratory focuses on the molecular mechanisms that drive therapy resistance and lineage plasticity in advanced prostate cancer.

Our work integrates functional genomics, chromatin biology, RNA processing, single-cell sequencing, spatial profiling, and translational model systems to identify new therapeutic vulnerabilities in aggressive disease.

Current major research themes include: lineage plasticity and adaptive tumor states, chromatin remodeling and transcriptional control, stress adaptation and DNA repair, minor intron splicing and RNA-processing vulnerabilities, single-cell and spatial tumor-state profiling, development of state-directed therapeutic strategies.

The laboratory integrates mechanistic biology with translational precision oncology approaches, using patient-derived models, organoids, genetically engineered mouse models, functional perturbation screens, and advanced multi-omic technologies.

About the Person The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria: Have or be about to receive
* (laboratory work complete) a PhD in Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, Genomics, Computational Biology, or related discipline.

(
*must be obtained within 3 months of commencement of employment).

Relevant undergraduate degree.

Significant recent relevant experience in a relevant field.

Recent, relevant publications in peer reviewed/refereed journals/monographs that are recognised as being high quality to a level commensurate with research experience.

Expertise in one or more of the following: cancer biology, chromatin biology, transcriptional regulation, RNA biology/splicing, functional genomics, single-cell genomics, prostate cancer biology.

Experience with mammalian cell culture and molecular biology techniques. xwzovoh

To be successful at shortlisting stage, please ensure you clearly evidence in your application how you meet the essential and, where applicable, desirable criteria listed in the Candidate Information on our website.
