Laser / Press Operative Our client, a growing manufacturing company based in Norwich, are currently seeking a Laser/press Operative to join their team. This is a full time, permanent position. Hours: Monday – Thursday: 7am – 5pm Skills & Experience * Previous experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or metalworking environment. * Experience operating laser cutting, press brake, or similar machinery. * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. * Good attention to detail and commitment to quality. * Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. About the role: The successful candidate will be responsible for operating laser cutting and press equipment, preparing materials for fabrication, and supporting production processes to ensure high-quality stainless steel products are manufactured efficiently and safely. Key Responsibilities * Operate CNC laser cutting machinery to process stainless steel components according to engineering drawings and production schedules. * Set up and operate press brake equipment to bend and form metal parts to specification. * Perform saw cutting of stainless steel materials to required dimensions. * Carry out deburring, grinding, and finishing operations to ensure components meet quality standards. * Prepare materials and components for welding and fabrication activities. * Assist with welding preparation, including cleaning, marking, and fitting parts prior to welding. * Conduct routine quality checks using measuring equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances. * Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment. * Support other production and fabrication activities as required.
