CNC Turner / Programmer / Setter / Operator

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
Location: On-site
Hours: Full-time Mon - Friday (8am-5pm)

A specialist engineering business is looking for an experienced CNC Turner / Programmer / Setter / Operator to join its highly skilled workshop team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Turner who enjoys varied, technically challenging work and takes pride in producing high-quality precision components.

The Role

• You will be responsible for the complete machining process, from programming and setting through to operation and inspection.
• Working with a 3-axis CNC lathe with live tooling, you will produce one-off and small-batch components to demanding specifications and tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate 3-axis CNC lathes with live tooling.
• Programme both online and offline using FANUC controls.
• Interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
• Select tooling, work holding, speeds and feeds.
• Set tools, offsets and work coordinates.
• Produce components to tight tolerances and high-quality finishes.
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment.
