About our School
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled SEN Teacher (Art Specialist) to join a welcoming and inclusive Cognition and Learning Unit within a well-established mainstream primary school. You will work with a small group of KS1 and KS2 pupils with cognition and learning needs, delivering highly personalised teaching in Maths, English, and Art.
Responsibilities
Take responsible for the quality of teaching and learning for pupils
Plan and deliver well - structured, differentiated lessons Maths and English.
Inspire & support pupils to develop confidence and creativity in Art
Enhance Art provision to support pupils with:
Speech, language and communication needs
Literacy difficulties
Social, emotional and mental health needs
Complex SEND profiles
Work collaboratively with classteachers and leadership to support wider learning
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
QualifiedTeacherStatus (QTS) desirable
Experience SEN teaching at primary level
Confident delivering practical and engagingArt lessons
Able to create a positive, inclusive and well-structured learning environment
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
