Accountant - Finance Projects

Part-Qualified / Qualified Accountant (Finance Projects) £Competitive + Benefits South ABJ6739 Perm full time - 5 days onsite A experienced accountant (part-qualified or fully qualified) is urgently required to join a busy finance team supporting project reporting and financial control activities. As an experienced accountant using SAP (SAP ERP) it would suit someone with strong analytical skills who enjoys working closely with project teams to provide accurate financial information and support business performance. Essential Skills & Experience * Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or fully qualified Accountant. * Experience working within a financial controlling, project finance, or project reporting environment. * Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Experience producing reports and documenting financial procedures. * Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. * Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and work to tight deadlines. * Good understanding of work package management and work package control. * Knowledge of risk management principles. * A structured, organised and methodical approach to planning, reporting and tracking financial information. Desirable Skills & Experience * Experience using SAP. (pref. ERP systems) * Previous experience in project accounting. * Experience working within the defence, aerospace or highly regulated engineering sectors. * Knowledge of Single Source Contract Regulations (SSCR) and the Single Source Regulatory Framework (SSRO). Personal Attributes * Highly organised with excellent attention to detail. * Commercially aware with strong financial acumen. * Able to build effective relationships across finance and operational teams. * Proactive, self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively. * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
