Site Manager - Carpentry

Site Manager – Residential Fit-Out Location: Birmingham Salary: 300 per day Job Type: Permanent Sector: Residential / Fit-Out / Internals Site Manager – Residential Fit-Out Ridgeway & Co are currently recruiting an experienced Site Manager to join an established and growing contractor delivering high-quality residential fit-out and internal packages. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring internal works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards. This position would suit a Site Manager with a strong background in residential construction, fit-out, internals or finishing, who is comfortable managing projects through the internal stages to completion and handover. Responsibilities * Day-to-day management of residential fit-out and internal works. * Managing and coordinating subcontractors and direct labour. * Overseeing packages including drylining, carpentry, joinery, ceilings, flooring, decorating and finishes. * Managing programme and ensuring key milestones are achieved. * Monitoring quality and ensuring works are completed to specification. * Managing snagging, defects and works through to final handover. * Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks and health & safety checks. * Liaising with the Project Manager, commercial team, design team and subcontractors. * Attending progress meetings and providing regular site updates. * Ensuring materials and labour are available in line with programme requirements. * Maintaining high standards of health & safety throughout the project. Requirements * Previous experience as a Site Manager / Finishing Manager / Internals Manager. * Strong residential fit-out or internal packages experience essential. * Good knowledge of finishing trades and sequencing. * Proven experience managing subcontractors. * Ability to drive programme while maintaining quality. * Excellent communication and organisational skills. * SMSTS. * CSCS. * First Aid. * Full UK driving licence preferred.
