Electrical Design Engineer Abingdon (Hyrbid : 3 days onsite) Contract to March 2027 | £55/hr Umbrella (£40.08 PAYE) IR35: Inside IR35 only Role Opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support complex engineering projects, delivering designs from concept to detailed stage across major systems. 🛠️ What You'll Do Accountable for supporting design work on major fusion sub-systems, from concept through to detailed design on enhancement programs for facilities as well as for future fusion devices. Accountable for design aspects relating to all assigned systems / components including repair, replacement or upgrade activities. Deliver electrical designs, upgrades, and modifications Produce technical documentation (drawings, BoMs, cable schedules) Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations Support design validation and collaborate with wider teams Apply design for manufacture and value engineering principlesRequirements Electrical Engineering background with Control & Instrumentation experience Knowledge of UK/EU electrical standards (incl. BS EN (phone number removed)) Solid Works (Electrical) CAD experience Strong design, technical documentation, and communication skills Relevant qualification (Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent) Proficient in the knowledge and application of recognised drawing standards and BS EN 61082 in particularDesirable BS 7671 (18th Edition) Experience with SolidWorks Electrical (currently used), EPLAN, or AutoCAD ElectricalCV Deadline: Wednesday 17th June - 12pm BPSS clearance will be required Apply now to work on high-impact engineering projects.
