We are recruiting for a Product Development Chemist to join an established and innovative organisation supplying specialist solutions to industries including motorsport, aviation, energy and automotive sectors. This opportunity offers a blend of laboratory work, technical project coordination and product innovation, allowing you to be involved throughout the lifecycle of new and existing fuel formulations. The Opportunity As part of a specialist technical team, you will play a central role in creating and refining bespoke fuel blends, supporting product development programmes and ensuring projects are delivered successfully from concept through to commercial release. Working cross-functionally with production, purchasing and commercial departments, you will help solve technical challenges, identify opportunities for product enhancement and provide expert guidance to both colleagues and customers. Key Duties * Lead and coordinate a variety of technical and product development projects. * Design, evaluate and optimise specialist fuel formulations. * Investigate and resolve technical issues across manufacturing, logistics and product performance. * Support the introduction of new products and applications. * Assist with the evaluation, approval and specification of raw materials. * Offer technical support to customers and attend meetings when required. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives across technical processes. * Share knowledge and provide guidance to team members where needed. Candidate Profile To be considered, you should possess: * A degree in Chemistry or a closely related scientific discipline. * Practical laboratory experience gained within a scientific or chemical environment. * Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. * Excellent communication and organisational skills. * Ability to effectively manage competing priorities. * A quality-focused approach with a strong awareness of safety standards. Previous experience within fuels, additives, petrochemicals or related sectors would be advantageous but is not essential. Experience contributing to technical projects would also be beneficial. Essential Requirements * Chemistry degree (or equivalent scientific qualification). * Full UK driving licence. * Access to your own transport due to the site's location.
