Application Support Engineer

Applications Support Engineer | £65,000 | Maidenhead Hybrid Working Pattern Overview: An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Applications Support Engineer to join an established organisation, providing support across core business applications. The successful candidate will provide Level 1 support, manage Level 2/3 escalations and support application improvements and transformation projects. You will work closely with internal teams and third-party providers to ensure systems remain effective and reliable. Role & Responsibilities: Support core business applications and ensure business continuity. Provide application support and escalate complex L2/L3 issues. Troubleshoot application, database and system issues. Work with business teams to understand and resolve requirements. Support application integration, automation and process improvements. Support databases, master data and operational reporting. Support document management and content workflows. Contribute to application projects, including testing and implementation. Manage software vendors, SaaS providers and service partners. Support access, licensing, security and disaster recovery. Maintain system documentation and architecture diagrams. Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce manual work. Skills & Experience Essential: Experience in application, IT or technical support. L1/L2/L3 application support experience. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Experience supporting business applications and users. Understanding of databases and data management. Experience gathering requirements and resolving system issues. Experience working with vendors or SaaS providers. Strong communication and organisational skills. Desirable: Experience with systems integration, automation or transformation. Knowledge of document management systems. Experience with systems administration, security or disaster recovery. Experience producing reports or dashboards. Experience maintaining technical documentation
