About the role
People Business Partner
Location: Retford, hybrid working with 3 days per week onsite
Contract: 12 months
Our client is looking for an experienced People Business Partner to join their team on a 12-month contract, supporting managers and teams across a range of people-related activity within a complex and fast-paced environment.
This is a varied HR role with a strong focus on employee relations, stakeholder management, HR projects and organisational development. You will provide trusted advice and support to managers, helping to ensure effective people practices while contributing to wider people programmes and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across a range of people matters, including employee relations, performance management and organisational issues.
* Support the effective application of UK employment law, HR policies and best practice.
* Deliver and support HR projects, organisational development initiatives and people-focused programmes.
* Produce HR metrics, management information and analysis to support informed decision-making.
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and provide effective coaching, communication and influencing.
* Support organisational change, transformation and culture initiatives where required.
* Contribute to talent management, succession planning, workforce planning and early careers activity.
* Manage multiple priorities and ensure HR activity is delivered effectively and within agreed timescales.
* Use Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Teams, to support reporting, project delivery and stakeholder communication.
About You
You will be an experienced HR professional with CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience, with a background as an HR Advisor, Junior HR Business Partner or HR Business Partner.
You will have:
* Strong employee relations experience and a sound understanding of UK employment law, HR policies and best practice.
* Experience delivering HR projects, organisational development initiatives and people programmes.
* Strong analytical skills, including experience producing HR metrics and management information.
* Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
* Strong organisational and project management abilities, with the confidence to manage multiple priorities.
* Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
Desirable Experience
The following would also be advantageous:
* A degree in Human Resources Management or a related discipline.
* HAY Job Evaluation accreditation and experience with career architecture and grading frameworks.
* Experience in talent management, succession planning, workforce planning or early careers programmes.
* Experience supporting organisational change, transformation and culture initiatives.
* Experience within engineering, scientific, technical, energy, infrastructure, public sector or other highly regulated environments
