Business Development Manager – Manufacturing Location: North West Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience Benefits: Quarterly bonus, car allowance, company phone and laptop Employment Type: Full-time | Permanent Are you a driven BDM, who has a proven track record delivering results across the world of Manufacturing. We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a growing business operating within the manufacturing sector. This is a field-based position that will involve developing new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and representing the company across the UK. You will be expected to travel to the Liverpool office once per month, alongside attending client meetings and visiting prospective customers. The successful candidate must have previous experience working within manufacturing and be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment. The Role Identify and develop new business opportunities across the manufacturing sector. Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective customers. Arrange and attend client meetings, site visits and presentations. Develop long-term relationships with new and existing customers. Understand customer requirements and provide suitable commercial solutions. Prepare proposals, quotations and commercial presentations. Negotiate terms and successfully close new business. Work closely with internal operations, production and customer service teams. Monitor market activity, industry trends and competitor developments. Maintain accurate records of sales activity, opportunities and forecasts. Achieve agreed revenue and business-development targets. Attend the Liverpool office once per week and travel nationally when required. About You Proven business-development or sales experience within manufacturing is essential. Comfortable working within a fast-paced and results-driven environment. Strong new-business development and relationship-management skills. Confident approaching prospective customers and generating your own opportunities. Commercially aware, with the ability to understand customer needs and present effective solutions. Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills. Self-motivated, organised and able to manage a busy workload. Comfortable travelling throughout the UK.
