Washington, Tyne & Wear 💰 Competitive Salary DOE + Excellent Benefits 🕒 Full Time | Permanent An established and growing electrical manufacturing business is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Fitter to join its production team in Washington. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist engineering environment working on bespoke low voltage (LV) switchgear and control panel solutions for a wide range of industrial sectors. The Role Reporting to the Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for the assembly, wiring and pre-testing of bespoke LV switchgear and control panels. The role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail and the capability to work from engineering drawings and wiring schematics. Key Responsibilities * Assemble and build switchgear and control panels to engineering specifications * Complete wiring, terminations and electrical connections to a high standard * Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics * Maintain accurate build and test documentation Requirements * NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation or similar * Previous experience within electrical manufacturing, panel building or switchgear assembly * Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics * Good understanding of electrical systems and components Desirable * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations * Previous switchgear manufacturing experience * ECS/CSCS card * Experience with MCCs, busbar systems or package substations What’s on Offer * Competitive salary - £16.20 to £18.00 per hour * Overtime paid at time and one third * Private healthcare and health cash plan * 25 days holiday + bank holidays * Company pension scheme * Ongoing training and professional development support * Supportive and collaborative working environment If you’re an experienced Electrical Fitter looking to join a forward-thinking engineering business with long-term opportunities for development, we’d love to hear from you
