Role Description The Early Years Educator role is a full-time, on-site position based in Luton. The educator will plan and deliver age-appropriate learning activities, support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development, and ensure the environment is safe and engaging. Daily responsibilities include observing and recording children’s progress, preparing resources, assisting with routines such as meals and rest times, and maintaining clear communication with families and colleagues. The role also involves following safeguarding procedures, supporting children with additional needs, and contributing to team meetings and continuous improvement of the nursery’s curriculum and practices.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Teaching and Education skills, with experience in early years or childcare settings.
  • Candidates should possess Lesson Planning skills to design and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to interact with children, families, and colleagues in a professional manner.
  • Candidates should possess Training experience or the ability to support and mentor colleagues or apprentices in best practices.
  • Relevant early years or childcare qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years Education or equivalent) is highly beneficial.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety standards in early years settings is required.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team are essential. xwzovoh
  • Basic IT skills for recording observations and maintaining child development records are advantageous.
