The Role
You will be advising lenders and borrowers on real estate finance transactions across multiple sectors and jurisdictions. This includes:
- Large investment-grade loans provided by domestic and international bank syndicates
- Secured domestic and cross-border term and revolving facilities
- Acquisition financings (including public-to-private takeovers)
- Cashflow-based and structured lending facilities
The practice also works closely with colleagues across Europe and internationally, meaning a significant proportion of work is cross-border in nature. The team uses cutting-edge precedents, digital tools, and AI-driven solutions to deliver client value, and you will be encouraged to contribute to marketing and business development initiatives while also having day-to-day client exposure.
What They’re Looking For
- 4–8 years’ PQE gained within an international or leading domestic law firm
- Solid experience managing finance transactions from start to finish
- Strong technical skills across LMA-style loan and intercreditor documentation
- Understanding of financial covenants, security packages, and relevant UK law
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team on multi-jurisdictional matters
- Organised and adaptable, with confidence working in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to innovation and openness to legal technology developments
- Commercial awareness and proactive approach to building client relationships
