This Accountant opportunity in Elland offers variety across accounts preparation, tax and VAT, alongside regular contact with the people behind the figures. You'll see work through, resolve queries and help clients keep their financial information in order.

As an Accountant, you'll work closely with client managers and senior colleagues, with advice available when you need it and opportunities to share your own knowledge. There's also scope to suggest improvements to how things are done.

Role Overview

Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
Prepare financial statements, tax returns and capital allowances computations.
Complete VAT returns and company secretarial tasks.
Liaise with clients to resolve queries and gather information.
Manage deadlines, support colleagues and suggest process improvements.
The Ideal Candidate

Practical accounts preparation experience within an accountancy practice.
A sound understanding of accounting principles and attention to detail.
Comfortable communicating with clients and organising your workload.
Familiarity with accounting software and Excel; Sage and Iris knowledge would be useful.
