London | Permanent | Hybrid working (2 days in office, 3 days remote)

 

A well-established and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer / Solicitor to join its busy and supportive Conveyancing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated conveyancing professional looking to take ownership of their own caseload while working within a collaborative environment that values client service, innovation and professional development.

 

The Role

You will be responsible for managing a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion, providing clear legal advice and ensuring a high standard of client care throughout the transaction process.

Key responsibilities include:

• 
  
• Managing purchase, sale, remortgage and transfer of equity transactions

Advising clients on the legal aspects of residential property matters

Carrying out ID verification, source of funds checks, gift deposit reviews and associated risk assessments

Drafting and issuing contracts

Managing mortgage redemptions and exchanges of contracts

Ordering, reviewing and reporting on searches

Investigating and reporting on titles, including leasehold matters and related enquiries

Reviewing mortgage offers and management packs

Handling both new-build and second-hand property transactions

Building and maintaining strong relationships with introducers and referrers

Supervising and supporting conveyancing assistants and administrative team members where appropriate

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• 
  
• Residential conveyancing experience with full responsibility for running your own caseload

CILEx Level 6, CLC qualification or equivalent residential conveyancing expertise

Strong technical knowledge across the residential property transaction lifecycle

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing deadlines

A proactive, organised and client-focused approach

The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team
