Job Title: Building Control Surveyor Location: Peterborough Salary/Rate: £462.22 PAYE or £629.96 umbrella Job Type: Full-time / Ongoing Contract Overview An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Building Control Surveyor to join a local authority team in Peterborough. This role offers the chance to work across a diverse range of projects, ensuring compliance with Building Regulations while supporting safe and high-quality development within the community. Key Responsibilities Assess and process Building Regulation applications, including plan checking and approvals Carry out site inspections on residential and commercial developments at various stages Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, associated legislation, and health & safety standards Provide technical advice and guidance to applicants, contractors, and stakeholders Identify and manage non-compliance issues, including recommending corrective actions Support enforcement activities where required Maintain accurate records and contribute to delivering a high-quality Building Control service Requirements Proven experience in a Building Control Surveyor role (local authority or approved inspector) Strong working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction standards Relevant qualification in Building Surveying, Construction, or similar discipline Excellent communication and organisational skills Full UK driving licence Apply Now If you are a Building Control Surveyor looking for your next opportunity in Peterborough, apply today or contact us directly for more information.
