About the role

Engineering Team Lead

We’re recruiting for an experienced Engineering Team Lead to join a busy food manufacturing site in County Down.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for a strong electrical engineer who enjoys leading from the front, supporting a small engineering team and keeping production running efficiently.

You’ll be responsible for:

Leading and supporting a team of engineers and technicians
Coordinating day-to-day maintenance priorities
Reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability
Supporting OEE, MTTR and maintenance KPIs
Planning preventative and predictive maintenance
Leading fault finding and root cause analysis
Supporting PLCs, motors, drives and automated production equipment
Managing critical spare parts and engineering supplies
Working closely with Production, Quality and Operations
Supporting energy reduction and sustainability initiatives

We’re looking for someone with:

Strong electrical engineering experience
Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Experience leading or mentoring engineers
Preventative and reactive maintenance experience
Knowledge of PLC-controlled machinery, motors and drives
Strong health & safety awareness
