Warehouse Operative

Barker Ross are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join a busy logistics operation based in Banbury, OX16 .

We are looking for reliable and hardworking people who are comfortable working in a fast paced warehouse environment. Previous warehouse experience is useful, but not essential, as full training will be provided.

This is a great opportunity if you are looking for ongoing work where you can develop your warehouse experience and gain MHE training.

Shift Pattern

You will work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern:

Days: 06:00 to 18:00
Nights: 18:00 to 06:00

Pay Rates

Day Shift:

£13.44 to £13.94 per hour

Night Shift:
£14.44 to £14.94 per hour

What will you be doing?

Picking customer orders accurately
Using handheld scanners and Radio Data Terminals
Building and wrapping pallets ready for dispatch
Loading and unloading deliveries
Checking incoming stock for quantity and quality
Moving and putting away stock within the warehouse
Replenishing picking locations
Using the Warehouse Management System
Keeping your working area clean and safe
Supporting the wider warehouse team when required

MHE Training and Developmen t

Everyone who successfully completes the induction day will receive PPT training, so you do not need to already hold a PPT licence.

Once trained and confident on PPT, there will also be opportunities to progress onto additional MHE training, including Reach Truck and VNA.

This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to develop their warehouse experience and gain additional MHE skills.

What Happens at the Induction?

As part of your first day and site induction, all candidates will complete:

Drug and alcohol test
English assessment
Maths assessment
Site induction and safety training

Please make sure you are comfortable completing these assessments before applying.

What Are We Looking For?

Reliable and punctual
Comfortable working 12 hour shifts
Able to work a 4 on 4 off rota
Happy working in a busy warehouse environment
Comfortable working as part of a team
Able to work accurately and follow instructions
Willing to learn and undertake MHE training

Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not essential. Experience using pallet trucks, PPT, Reach Truck, VNA or other warehouse equipment would be an advantage.
