Blasting Supervisor Location: Plymouth Employment Type: Permanent Positions Available: 2 – One Day Shift and One Back Shift About the Role Denholm Industrial Services is currently recruiting two experienced Blasting Supervisors to join our team in Plymouth on a permanent basis. We have opportunities available across both day shift and back shift. The successful candidates will supervise marine blasting and surface preparation activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. Pay Rates Blasting Supervisor – Day Shift * Basic: £24.00 per hour * Overtime 1: £31.20 per hour * Overtime 2: £38.40 per hour Blasting Supervisor – Back Shift * Rate: £31.20 per hour Key Responsibilities * Supervise day-to-day blasting and surface preparation activities * Lead, coordinate and support blasting teams to meet operational requirements * Allocate work and ensure labour, equipment and materials are used effectively * Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project specifications and quality standards * Monitor productivity and progress against agreed schedules * Conduct pre-start briefings and toolbox talks * Ensure blasting equipment is inspected, maintained and operated safely * Identify and report defects, delays and health and safety concerns * Maintain accurate records of completed work, inspections and shift progress * Liaise with management, quality teams and other relevant departments * Ensure compliance with all company and site health, safety, environmental and quality procedures Essential Requirements * Relevant TTP blasting qualification * Minimum of three years’ relevant blasting experience * Previous supervisory experience within a marine or heavy industrial environment * Strong knowledge of abrasive blasting and surface preparation standards * Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills * Ability to manage workloads and deliver work to agreed deadlines * Right to work in the UK * Willingness and eligibility to complete the required security clearance process Additional Requirements * Applicants will be required to apply for a DBS check * Drug and alcohol testing will form part of the induction process * Continued employment will be subject to obtaining the required security clearance
