You’ll take the lead across key accounts, act as a trusted scientific contact for clients and help develop the capability of the wider medical writing team.Everything you need to know about the roleYou’ll lead the development of high-quality promotional HCP communications, scientific platforms, congress materials, presentations and digital content, translating complex clinical data into clear, compelling and compliant narratives.Alongside your own writing, you’ll:Lead key accounts and contribute to pitches, workshops and strategic discussionsProvide senior editorial and scientific oversight, developing the work of junior writersLine manage, coach and mentor Medical Writers, supporting their career developmentUse AI tools to improve research, writing, fact checking and editorial workflows, while helping the wider team adopt them appropriatelyWork closely with Account Management on scoping, resource planning and proposalsCollaborate with Creative, Strategy, Digital and Client Services teams to deliver integrated campaignsEnsure work meets pharmaceutical compliance requirements and agency/client QC processes, including VeevaExperience and qualities that make you a strong fitWe’re looking for someone with extensive medical or healthcare communications agency experience who is already operating at Principal level, or a highly experienced Senior Medical Writer ready to take on broader leadership responsibility.You should have:Strong hands-on experience developing promotional HCP contentProven experience leading complex medical writing projectsExperience line managing, coaching or mentoring junior writersExcellent editorial, critical appraisal and scientific review skillsStrong knowledge of pharmaceutical compliance codes, MLR processes and VeevaPractical experience using AI tools within medical writing or researchThe confidence to work with clients and contribute to strategic discussionsExcellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced agency environmentA collaborative, curious and proactive approach, with a genuine passion for healthcare communications and creativityWhat’s on offer?You’ll join a highly collaborative, creatively ambitious agency where Medical Writers have the opportunity to influence both the work and how the discipline continues to evolve.Work across major pharmaceutical, healthcare and MedTech clientsLead high-profile promotional and scientific communications projectsDevelop your leadership and people-management experienceHelp shape the use of AI within medical writingHybrid working from modern Central London offices25 days’ holidayPrivate medical healthcare, life assurance and income protectionEnhanced maternity/paternity benefitsPlus a range of health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefitsCould this be the role for you?If you’re an established Principal Medical Writer or highly experienced Senior Medical Writer looking for a role combining scientific leadership, creativity, people development and innovation, we’d love to hear from you.To find out more or apply, please send your CV to (email protected).
