Part-Time Financial Controller Manchester About the Role Were looking for an experienced, detail-driven Financial Controller to join The Part-Time Finance People and support a portfolio of ambitious SME clients across Manchester and the surrounding areas.

This is a hands-on, commercially focused role where youll lead the finance function, bring clarity to the numbers, and help business owners make smarter, more confident decisions.

Youll work flexibly on a part-time basis, delivering real value where its needed most.

About You Youre an experienced Financial Controller who thrives in growing SME environments and enjoys making a tangible difference.

Youre commercially minded, proactive, and confident communicating financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.

What Youll Bring Strong experience preparing management accounts and financial reports Expertise in balance sheet reconciliations Proven ability in cashflow management and profit forecasting Experience with Xero (with exposure to Sage50 and/or QuickBooks a bonus) A track record of implementing and improving financial controls Commercial awareness and a practical, business-focused mindset Experience supporting year-end processes (excluding statutory accounts) Advanced Excel skills (including PivotTables, SUMIFs, and data visualisation) Confidence presenting financial insights to non-financial leaders Fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACMA/FCCA/ICAEW) or QBE (5 years), with experience managing a finance team The Details Rate: £35 per hour Location: Manchester and surrounding areas Hours: 23 days per week onsite About Us At The Part-Time Finance People, were passionate about helping business owners build more successfuland more enjoyablebusinesses.
